SA Disability Care is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Aged & Disability Support Worker to join our Salisbury-based team. In this full-time role, you will provide daily living support to elderly clients and people with disabilities, enabling them to live with dignity, comfort, and independence. The role includes assisting with personal care, domestic tasks, mobility, social engagement, and monitoring overall wellbeing. The ideal candidate will bring a person-centred approach, cultural sensitivity, and a strong sense of responsibility. This position plays a key role in supporting our mission to deliver high-quality in-home care and community participation programs.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Assist participants with daily living tasks, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
  • Facilitate access to community services, recreational activities, and appointments.
  • Support clients in maintaining independence, safety, and dignity within their home and community.
  • Monitor and report changes in client condition or behaviour to supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in line with NDIS and organisational requirements.
  • Follow individual support plans and deliver person-centred, culturally appropriate care.

Qualifications & experience

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability or Ageing) or a closely related qualification.
  • Minimum 1 year of paid experience in disability, aged care, or community support.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
