MARS Recruitment is partnering with a prominent property investment firm to appoint a Fund & Group Accountant. This critical role will be responsible for fund accounting and group consolidations, ensuring full statutory compliance and contributing to the organisation's overall financial performance. The successful candidate will bring proven experience in the fund accounting space, strong technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities:Maintain the general ledger with accuracy and integrity.Manage the financial operations and reporting for a portfolio of property and investment funds.Prepare and maintain unit pricing across multiple funds.Produce accurate and compliant fund-level financial statements and reports.Monitor fund cash flow, distributions, and key performance metrics, providing timely updates to investors.Oversee investor contributions, distributions, and associated reporting requirements.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for the group.Deliver timely and accurate group-level financial reports, including consolidated cash flow, profit & loss, and balance sheet statements.Conduct variance analysis on consolidated results and present actionable insights to senior management.Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG, FBT, and GST returns in line with statutory deadlines.Ensure compliance with AASB accounting standards and all relevant regulatory obligations. Criteria:5+ years of experience in fund accounting or property investment management.CA/CPA/ACCA qualified.Experience in financial reporting for investment funds, trusts, and group entities.Prior experience with property accounting software (MRI) is highly regarded.Strong technical accounting expertise.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.Energetic, perceptive, and a self-starter who can use their own initiative to complete business critical tasks.Note:Only Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered at this time.
