The Graduate/Undergraduate Accountant role offers an excellent opportunity to launch your accounting career within a dynamic property development environment. You will work closely with our experienced finance team, gaining hands-on exposure to a broad range of accounting functions including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end processes.
Based in our Brisbane CBD office, you'll be part of a collaborative team that values precision, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments, and assist with collections to ensure smooth financial operations.
Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily reconciliations to support accurate financial reporting.
Month-End Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Assist in preparing and reviewing reconciliations alongside the Finance Manager and accountants.
General Administration: Provide administrative support across finance and accounting tasks.
Ad-hoc Finance Support: Contribute to various finance projects and assist where needed across the function.
Skills & Attributes
Qualifications: Currently completing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Business with a major in Accounting (completion expected within 12 months).
Technical Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with solid capability across the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook). A passion for numbers is essential.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities, work efficiently, and meet deadlines.
Communication: Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Experience: Previous employment in a finance-related role is advantageous, though any work experience of at least 12 months will be well regarded.
