The Opportunity:We're seeking a dynamic Grid Connections Engineer to lead grid connection processes for cutting-edge renewable energy and energy storage projects.
This role offers:Working with the leadership team assisting with grid connection activities across project lifecyclesCollaboration with industry stakeholders, including NSPs, AEMO, and OEMsOpportunity to work on complex, utility-scale projectsCareer growth in a rapidly evolving industry$160,000 + super + bonuses
Key Responsibilities:Spearhead grid connection processes from development to commissioningManage stakeholder relationships and negotiate connection agreementsOversee power system studies and GPS complianceProvide technical expertise for project proposals and evaluationsDevelop and implement GPS Compliance Plans for operational projectsExperience in Grid Connection and HV substation design.Knowledge of HV Overhead line design
The Ideal Candidate:Degree in Electrical Engineering2+ years of experience in grid connection processesStrong understanding of GPS compliance and power system modellingKnowledge of NER, AEMO processes, and NSP requirementsExcellent communication and negotiation skillsGrid Code knowledge.Experience in GPSEngineering Software to be used: Autocad, PVsyst, PSSE, Dig-silent; Etap; QGIS
