The salary on offer will depend on the successful candidate's skills and experience.

As an experienced Grounds or Maintenance person, you will be able to provide general handyman skills including gardening, cleaning and light carpentry duties.  You will be comfortable working on a large residential site and have a compassionate and engaging nature.

You’ll also bring:

  • A background in landscaping, maintenance, and grounds keeping including mowing, weeding, spraying general garden upkeep
  • Competence in maintaining gardening equipment and machinery and use of basic power tools
  • An understanding of, and compliance with, occupational health and safety requirements
  • A friendly, flexible and non-judgemental attitude – including working within professional boundaries
  • Good emotional regulation skills, with an understanding of de-escalation practices
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to relate to a wide range of people
  • Understanding for the need to maintain confidentiality of clients – both at work and after hours
  • Supervisory skills – you’ll be mentoring and supporting clients to develop skills in this area

A relevant qualification would be highly desirable, but relevant experience and a great attitude are what’s most important to us. You will need to have a current, valid Australian Drivers Licence and a National Police Check.

And you’ll love working with talented people who are humble, human, and full of hope.  We’re dedicated to helping others, no matter how difficult or complex the challenge!
