About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic with expertise in refrigerated transport to join our Fleet Maintenance Team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of vehicles including medium rigids, heavy rigids, prime movers, trailers, and refrigerated units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on road transport vehicles

• Conduct minor repairs, overhauls, and services as required

• Maintain and repair refrigerated transport equipment

• Identify, report, and repair vehicle defects

• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance

• Enter accurate information into fleet maintenance software

• Install equipment such as cameras and tracking devices in vehicles

• Keep workshop and tools clean, organised, and in working order

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures

• Coordinate with the Fleet Maintenance and Safety teams on service requirements

Skills & Qualifications:

• Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle / Diesel Mechanic

• Proven experience in maintaining and servicing large fleets (100+ vehicles)

• Diagnostic experience with diesel engines and transport refrigeration units

• Knowledge of road transport regulations and compliance standards

• Strong time management and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Truck driving licence is highly regarded

• Prior experience in refrigerated transport maintenance is highly regarded
