ICT Customer Support Officer

Your role will be varied and challenging. We refurbish and sell a variety of different brands of laptops, mobile phones and IT system solutions to our customers and so you will need to be competent and confident enough to provide support both to our internal staff and our valued customers.

Benefits

Salary on offer will be between $77,000 and $80,000 per annum, plus superannuation, depending on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. 

This is a permanent, full-time, position, and you will be expected to work a 38-hour week.

Task & responsibilities

Your duties will include:

•    Responding to technical enquiries from our staff and customers, providing support, diagnosing problems and offering guidance, mainly over the phone, to resolve issues

•    Providing assistance in trouble-shooting customer returns

•    Providing ICT after-sales support to our customers

•    Prioritising and managing many cases concurrently

•    Guiding staff and customers through actions needed to set up systems or resolve problems

•    Identifying both software and hardware requirements to provide solutions in response to the needs of our business customers

•    Awareness of the Australian business environment, in particular the ICT needs of our customers

•    Escalating major problems to vendors or technicians for service

•    Implementing computer networks and helping maintain our business website and computer infrastructure

Qualification & experience

You will need the following skills, experience and qualifications:

•    Strong analytical, logistical, customer service and problem-solving ICT skills

•    Excellent verbal communication skills

•    The ability to establish a good rapport with internal staff and with our customers

•    The ability to work in a team environment

•    Prior experience (minimum 2 years) in a business support role or customer service role 

•    Formal qualifications at least to Diploma level
