Role Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Analyst to join our Private Markets investment team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to gain deep exposure to the late-stage venture capital ecosystem, work closely with experienced investors, and contribute to impactful investment decisions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in all aspects of the investment process, from sourcing and evaluating potential investments to supporting portfolio companies. The level of responsibility and focus will be tailored based on the candidate's experience level.
Responsibilities:Investment Sourcing & Screening: Evaluate potential investment opportunities based on key metrics, market dynamics, competitive landscape, and team quality.Maintain a strong understanding of emerging trends and technologies within relevant industries. Identify and research promising late-stage companies across our target sectors through market research, industry reports, networking, and attending industry events.Due Diligence & Analysis: Conduct rigorous financial, commercial, and operational due diligence on potential investments.Build and maintain complex financial models, including valuation analysis, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis.Analyze historical financial performance, projections, and key performance indicators (KPIs).Conduct market sizing and competitive analysis to assess market opportunity and positioning.Synthesize findings and present clear and concise investment recommendations to the investment team.Portfolio Management & Support: Monitor the performance of existing portfolio companies, track key milestones, and analyze financial results.Conduct market and competitive analysis relevant to portfolio companies.Assist in the preparation of portfolio performance reports and investor updates.Support portfolio companies with strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and fundraising efforts (as appropriate for the level).Internal Operations & Knowledge Building: Contribute to the development of internal knowledge resources and best practices.Assist with fund-related activities, such as investor relations and fundraising support (as appropriate for the level).Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and macroeconomic factors impacting the venture capital landscape.Build and maintain a strong network within the venture capital and technology ecosystem. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record in finance, economics, business, engineering, computer science, or a related field.2-3 years of relevant experience in chartered accounting, management consulting, venture capital, or a high-growth technology company.Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including financial modeling and valuation experience.Excellent research, written, and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated passion for technology and innovation.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and intellectual curiosity.
