The Opportunity

As a member of their Client Financials Team, you'll play a crucial role in delivering front-line financial and accounting solutions, catering to both internal and external clients across Australia. Liaising with managers and other internal staff in relation to financial queries on a day-to-day basis, your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing year-end financial workpapers & reports and assist in preparation of the year end financials for over 750 external clients.
  • Assisting the accounting team with various tasks including superannuation, ABS, BAS, and tax related reporting
  • Daily banking and payment authorisation duties
  • Ensuring compliance with all internal controls
  • Respond to other information requests to both internal and external clients as required
  • Providing exceptional customer service to all stakeholders
  • Other duties as required within the Finance Team

About You

You are a junior accountant looking to develop and enhance your existing finance and accounting skills, be willing to support the client financials team whilst always learning best practice financial techniques and most importantly, you will have enthusiasm!

You will also have:

  • Self-motivation and initiative to grow within a business
  • A strong ability to problem solve and offer solutions
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience within a professional services firm
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft office suit and the ability to quickly learn our internal industry specific software
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to multi-task
