About the role
Tuff Transport is seeking an experienced Local Truck Driver to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Toowoomba, Queensland, this role will service a new contract involving daily scheduled runs. The candidate will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of goods for our new client.
What you'll be doing
Transporting a variety of freight driving a heavy rigid tautliner
Ensuring all shipments are delivered safely and in good condition
Ability to complete tasks as scheduled and within agreed timeframes
Manual handling involved in delivering freight within safety time parameters
Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain the roadworthiness of the vehicle
Completing all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
Providing excellent customer service to clients and responding promptly to any queries or concerns
Adhering to all relevant road rules, safety regulations, and company policies
What we're looking for
A current Australian HR driver's licence
At least 2 years' experience driving heavy vehicles, preferably in a transport or logistics role
Excellent driving skills and a proven track record of safe driving
Strong time management and organisational abilities to ensure timely deliveries
Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and team members
Ability to engage with customer to promote a positive business relationship
A commitment to safety and a willingness to follow all relevant regulations and procedures
