We are seeking a highly motivated M&A Analyst to join our team in a full-time capacity. Ideally, you will be located in either Brisbane or Melbourne but we are open to applications from all of Australia.

About The Role
As a key member of our M&A team, you will play an important role in our investment activities, with a focus on valuation, offer negotiation and due diligence.
You will have the opportunity to add value through most of the M&A cycle, working with a driven, high-energy investment team and have a hand in shaping our future M&A strategy!
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Analyse target company financial/operational information
Manage Q&A with target companies, as well as external advisers
Prepare and negotiate offers
Perform industry research and competitor analysis
Build financial models and adjust assumptions based on DD findings
Succinctly report in a timely manner on key risks and findings
Assist with transaction negotiation and execution
Help draft investment documents, including investment memos and due diligence reports
Optimise our M&A processes, coaching our operational leaders on acquisition fundamentals
Skills and Experience
2-4 years of experience in transaction diligence, corporate finance/M&A, PE, family office or equivalent
Tertiary Qualification from an accredited Australian university (Business/Finance degree preferred)
Proficient in Excel, capable of detailed analysis and clear communication of insights
Exposure to the software industry and CA/CPA/CFA is advantageous
Strong understanding of financial statements and good business judgement
Experience navigating financial models with minimal supervision
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Flexible and adaptable with an ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlines
Meticulous attention to detail
Collaborative, able to work effectively across teams and departments
Resourceful and initiative-driven, always looking for ways to improve processes
Experience being proactive and initiating new ideas in your current/former roles.
