We have a great opportunity for an experience maintenance / handyperson 'all-rounder' who is looking for a casual or part time role. You will have worked in maintenance roles previously; be a self-starter and take pride in maintaining our new facility and grounds to the highest standard, and display respect, dignity and privacy to our patients at all times.
The role:
Interior and exterior general repairs and maintenance
Inspecting property and assessing maintenance issues
Undertake any scheduled preventative and responsive maintenance work
Undertake general maintenance duties including grounds care, plumbing work, painting, flooring repair/upkeep, heating and air conditioning system maintenance, and carpentry work
Assisting with organising any quotations for maintenance works or trades people
Coordinating trades and services to ensure the management of repairs occurs in a timely manner
Utilise your all-round handyperson skills
Essential requirements:
Building and grounds maintenance experience
Current drivers’ licence
Understanding of the key Australian Standards, Work, Health and Safety legislation and how maintenance impacts on hospital performance
Proficiency in computer and maintenance system skills
The ability to work unsupervised and meet set workloads
Self-motivated and proactive
Perform all work to a high standard in a timely and efficient manner
Ability to troubleshoot and fault find
A practical minded individual with an exceptional eye for detail
Physical capability to undertake a wide range of activities
Desirable:
A qualification or trade in a property/technical/facilities field
Experience in a hospital property maintenance related role
Experience in building maintenance practices
Experience in contractor management in a building environment
