Maintenance Electrician Mt Cuthbert

Mt Cuthbert Resources has been operating its Leichhardt Project since 2013 and is located at the remote Mount Cuthbert Mine, near the township of Kajabbi, North West Queensland, situated approx. 110km north east of Mount Isa. The mine is currently in a Care & Maintenance phase.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Electrician is part of the small but robust maintenance team, who are committed to ensuring maintenance to the highest standards.

This position provides for the safe and effective maintenance and servicing of all equipment and general maintenance on the site in accordance with statutory requirements and company standards.

About You 

You must love variety - 70% of tasks are electrical and cover process operations, 30% of tasks will involve general electrical maintenance (including air con, camp, offices and buildings).

You will need to be able to demonstrate good fault-finding skills and have the ability and resolve to work unsupervised.

You will be committed to safe working practices and look for solutions with a positive and "can do" attitude.

To be successful you will need to have:

• PLC and SCADA experience

• HV switching ticket

• Instrumentation experience (desirable)

• Forklift ticket

• AC split system ticket (not essential)

• Risk assessment training or current mine induction

• meet requirements for PTCEW appointment

• COVID-19 vaccination preferred

The role is offered as a 14/14 FIFO position from Brisbane, or Townsville, or DIDO Mt Isa (only), with meals and accommodation provided at the site camp. If you choose to live in Cloncurry, a generous residential allowance is also available.
