LIONS@springwood is the official social club of the Brisbane Lions based in Springwood. Our venue offers over 200 state of the art gaming machines, TAB facilities, our Cage Bar with plenty of TVs for the sport fans, the 5th Quarter Restaurant with an incredible variety of meals to suit everyone and an enclosed kids area.
As our Maintenance Officer / Cellarperson, you will form part of our restaurant leadership team and help lead our staff provide high quality customer service and dining experiences to our customers and members.
The role will ideally be full-time however open to discussing part-time options with the right candidate.
Key duties include but not limited to:
Respond to and perform minor repairs and general maintenance requests
Conduct preventive maintenance schedules
Identify safety hazards to ensure a safe working environment
Liaise and oversee contractors for larger maintenance projects including obtaining quotes and providing progress reports
Ensure all service areas within the Club maintain agreed stock levels and replenish when required
Ensure receipt of stock is completed in an effective and safe manner
Order stock and perform stocktake in conjunction with department managers
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience working in a similar Maintenance/Cellarperson role
Forklift license
Current RSA and RSG or willingness to obtain
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety
Excellent communicator with an ability to work in and lead teams
Be a problem solver with an ability to make decisions on the go
Maintain high customer service standards through leading by example
Knowledge and understanding of cash handling and food safety regulations
Ability to work a range of shifts throughout a 7-day a week roster, including weekends
