Join QBuild for an exciting career opportunity as a Perm Maintenance Support Coordinator to provide a high level of state-wide planning, building, maintenance, and disaster response services that utilise local suppliers and QBuild tradespeople and apprentices.

QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government.  It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.

About the role

You will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by providing state-wide planning, building, maintenance, and disaster response services

Duties and skills involved:

  • Provide a quality service through effective management and monitoring of internal and external correspondence, incoming and outgoing calls and providing responses aligned with KPIs as well as using high-level interpersonal skills including negotiation, minimisation of aggression and dispute resolution as appropriate.
  • Connect and maintain relationships with industry, local suppliers, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and being a positive contributor to a great team and culture and actively participating in and contributing to internal innovative activities.
  • Ensure high standards and accuracy when compiling documents and reports or updating records and information systems.
  • Proactively manage the work performance and personal conduct of your staff.

Additional requirements (mandatory/desirable):

  • Leadership qualities will be highly desirable
