The position of Manager, Executive Services oversees the executive services functions for ACARA including intergovernmental relations, strategic planning and corporate compliance. The role supports the Executive Director, Communications, Engagement and Executive Services (CE&ES) and wider Executive Leadership Team (ELT), including the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), on the review of and delivery against the ACARA Charter flowing into strategic and business planning for the organisation.
About the position:
Lead the development and oversee the delivery of the revised Charter and workplan, with input from key internal and external stakeholders.
Embed the new framework for strategic and business planning at ACARA, working with key internal stakeholders.
Oversee reporting against ACARA’s workplan delivery to key stakeholders and in line with reporting requirements (e.g. Corporate Plan, Annual Report).
Support the engagement and feedback process through Executive Leadership Team (ELT), ACARA Board, Schools Policy Group (SPG), Australian Education Senior Officials Committee (AESOC) and Education Minister Meeting (EMM), in order to secure required outcomes.
To be successful, you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills and demonstrated ability to identify critical issues and provide high level, authoritative strategic and operational advice to the ACARA Board and Executive team.
Extensive experience in project management and delivery within a diverse and challenging government or comparable organisational environment.

ACARA offers an attractive salary package dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate, commencing at $163,408 base per annum, as a full-time equivalent (plus superannuation).
