Mechatronics Engineer

We are searching for an innovative, deadline-driven mechatronics engineer to join our team. The mechatronics engineer’s responsibilities include design and development of new and existing Mechanical, Electronics and Software systems that support various company functions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing new product concepts and prototypes to aid the company’s main business objectives in the Measurements and Calibration industry

  • Designing and testing software and embedded electronics systems

  • Maintaining Process and Automation Systems

Must have skills:

  • 3 – 5 years experience in Mechatronics Engineering related field

  • Qualification in Mechatronics Engineering

  • Aptitude towards Software Development using Object Oriented Principles and Design Patterns. Mainly in Java and C#

  • Basics of Scripting and Linux Environment (RaspberryPis)

  • Basic knowledge of Microcontrollers and Firmware Development.

  • Basic knowledge of Hardware design (PCB design using Eagle CAD)

  • Basic knowledge Mechanical CAD (Mechanical Design using Fusion 360)

Desirable:

  • Experience with Automation Systems and PLCs

  • Experience with Systems Engineering Design

  • Experience with IoT Embedded Systems

  • Project Management experience

The position will command a competitive salary.

The selected applicant will be required to undergo a National Police check and must be a permanent Australian Resident.
