Medical Receptionist

North Brisbane Sleep & Thoracic is committed to the wellbeing of our people, patients, and communities which we serve. We are on the lookout for a part time or casual receptionist to join this dynamic sleep and thoracic team. In this role you will be the first point of contact for patients and practitioners who need assistance with a range of administrative and customer service queries. As a Medical Receptionist you will be providing support to patients, ensuring a smooth experience for their appointments. In addition, you will be responsible for supporting the booking of appointments, records management and working with referring medical practitioners.

This role will be split across our North Lakes and Clayfield clinics, working part time hours with shifts varying between 7.30am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. 

You will be responsible for all reception duties including:

• General Clerical Duties

• Customer service and care including greeting patients at the front desk, taking and directing incoming telephone calls.

• Making sleep, respiratory and consultant bookings.

• Experience in Word, Excel & Outlook is highly recommended.

• Patient record management with exceptional data entry skills

• Liaising with other receptionists, referring doctors and other medical professionals in a courteous manner.

• Medicare, DVA, Health fund and work cover billing and banking

• Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills and the ability to work to timelines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with HealthTrack would be an advantage.
