Our team produce a dynamic range of delicious sourdough bread. We embrace modern technology, as well as unique methods to achieve our signature dark crust magic. 

About the role 

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team on a full-time basis. A part time opportunity may be considered for the right candidate. This role is vital in ensuring our payroll processes run smoothly and accurately, supporting our employees throughout their lifecycle. If you are detail-oriented, compliance-focused, and have strong organisational skills, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end weekly payrolls for our multi-site business, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Ensure employment records, pay rates, allowances, and entitlements align with applicable awards, agreements, and company policies.

  • Manage payroll documentation and system access for new employees.

  • Completion of all payroll activities related to onboarding and offboarding, including termination calculations and estimates

  • Payroll administration in all elements of the employee lifecycle.

  • Respond to employee enquiries and provide timely and accurate advice on payroll administration matters.

  • Provide detailed payroll reports for stakeholders and assist with payroll account reconciliation.'

  • Other duties as required.

To be considered for this role, you will need to bring:
  • Experience using Employment Hero HR and Payroll (or a similar payroll system)

  • Extensive experience in payroll and/or payroll administration.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of payroll and HR administration concepts, principles, practices and procedures.

  • Experience in administering an in-house payroll function.

  • Knowledge and experience in the interpretation and application of relevant Awards and Agreements.

  • Strong attention to detail with ability to carry out duties with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and work under pressure.

  • Experience in the preparation of ad-hoc payroll reports.

  • Advanced customer service skills including the ability to foster strong work relationships both internally and externally.
