One of our Federal Government Clients is seeking to engage a Lead Penetration Tester - EL1. This is a long-term contractual position.

Contract Duration – 03 Years (12 Months initially + 24 Months extension)Work Location – Canberra, Adeliade, Brisbane and MelbourneWork Arrangement – The candidate must work full-time onsite at the mentioned location for the first 6 weeks. After that, WFH may be considered case-by-case, but a minimum of 3 days/week onsite is required.Eligibility– Must need to have NV1 Security Clearance or above
Position Description:
Cyber Security Penetration Tester Experts are responsible for testing and investigating security infrastructure within an organisation. They analyse IT systems to determine configuration weaknesses and faults that could affect security and business.
Cyber Security Penetration Tester Experts conduct complex penetration testing and highly sensitive vulnerability assessment activities. They simulate different types of cyber security attacks and develop penetration testing methodologies.
Cyber Security Penetration Tester Experts:
Lead the delivery of flexible and quality customer service.Work under the broad direction of senior staff to deliver results.Make ethical, evidence-based decisions using professional judgement.Develop and manage stakeholder relationships to ensure positive outcomes.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Provide penetration testing support to current and projected demand as well as the TSP Customer Contact Management Project.

Oversee the execution of test cases using in-depth technical analysis of risks and typical vulnerabilities.Lead cyber penetration testing and vulnerability assessments using relevant tools and methods against a variety of technologies.Conduct and lead complex threat simulation activities to identify weaknesses and/or opportunities in technical security controls.Oversee the catalogue of test findings and potential measures.Oversee and approve security testing plans.Provide highly technical subject matter expertise to system owners and stakeholders to improve system security posture.Manage and coordinate a variety of risk analysis and assessments on cyber security matters.Perform web application and mobile penetration testing against complex enterprise platforms using a variety of technologies.Conduct infrastructure penetration testing against enterprise grade systems.Collaborate with system owners to develop test scope and preparation for testing ensuring remediation has been completed effectively.Review reports, briefs and documentation and communicate technical findings and recommendations.Transfer highly technical skills and knowledge to aps staff through continuous coaching and on-the-job training to support succession planning.Exercise delegations in line with legislation and guidelines.
Technical skills:
Considerable experience in the following:
Conducting web application penetration testing against complex enterprise platforms built with a variety of technologies.Undertaking penetration testing against enterprise grade, infrastructure hosted on both windows and linux based platforms.
