Practice Nurse 3 days per week

Regency Medical Clinic is an accredited GP owned private practice at Sefton Park. We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Registered or Enrolled Nurse (GP Practice Nurse experience preferred) to join our dedicated nursing team on a casual basis for 3 days per week, plus a requirement to cover personal and sick leave with the opportunity for permanent part time for the right candidate.

The role will include all aspects of General Practice Nursing including but not limited to:

• Wound Management

• ECG

• Assisting GPs with minor procedures

• Maintaining sterilisation processes

• Administering vaccine  - Adults/Children, including post vaccine observations and monitoring

• Ear syringing

• Chronic Disease Management

• Health Assessments/Care Plans

• Previous employment in General Practice or Primary Health Care Setting is preferred but not essential

• Triaging patients and prioritisation of emergency situations

The successful candidate must be able to work within a team, be able to multi-task, work autonomously, display a high level of initiative, have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and be able to work in a fast paced environment with a focus on patient care and commitment to best practice, ethical behaviour and conduct.

Requirements for this role:

• Current unrestricted  AHPRA registration

• Current Police Check (within the last 6 months)

• Current CPR

• Current Working With Children Check

• Experience with Zedmed would be an advantage but not essential

• Required immuniations
