Principal Technician

About the Role

You will primarily be responsible for the diagnoses and repairs of surface and downhole electronic and mechanical systems problems.

This position reports to the L&P Maintenance Service Coordinator and will be basedat our facility in Jandakot, WA.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair logging surface and downhole logging equipment
• Assist in supervising, mentoring and coordinating the activities of other Technicians in the electronics lab
• Utilises Correction Prevention and Improvement and Preventative Maintenance systems for record keeping of maintenance
• Works with Operations Leader, Technical Manager and engineers regarding job related failure diagnosis and elimination of causes

Role Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Wireline & Perforating tool maintenance
• Use Taproot investigative tools and promote JSA’s or Hazard observations
• Able to travel to and work in remote operations
• Full working rights for the region
• Strong communication, and supervisory skills
