We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Test Engineer to join our Supply Chain team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Production Engineering and Contract Manufacturing Manager
About the Role
- Develop, implement, and maintain test systems and procedures to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions and production engineering activities.
- Design and implement test jigs and fixtures to support production and new product development.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to test systems and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Generate and maintain test documentation and reports.
- Provide training on new test equipment, processes, and procedures.
- Evaluate existing manufacturing techniques and implement improvements to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
- Generate DFM/DFA documentation for new product designs or processes.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar discipline.
- 5 years of practical industry experience in NPI/ Manufacturing/ electronic testing environment.
- Experience in the PCB electronics or manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and standards.
- Experience with process validation and verification.
- Experience in NPI Process development and handover.
- Experience in writing equipment specifications.
- Proven experience in test engineering or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of test systems, procedures, and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to update / modify test software.
- Able to obtain and maintain an Australian NV1 Security Clearance
