Who are we looking for?

Be a leader at the forefront of healthcare innovation as Professor in Health AI at QUT's Faculty of Health. Here, you'll lead pioneering research at the intersection of healthcare and artificial intelligence. Our vision extends beyond traditional boundaries, propelling healthcare into the digital age.

This position is one of two professors who will co-lead the establishment of the cross-disciplinary AI in Health Research Network, which aims to shape the future of healthcare through innovative research and collaboration.

What you need to succeed

  1. Completion of a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline area or closely related field.

  2. Recognised nationally and internationally as a research leader in artificial intelligence methodologies with particular strength and deep expertise in the application within healthcare settings.

  3. Demonstrated ability in establishing and working with an interdisciplinary team of academic colleagues, and engagement with industry stakeholders including medical or clinical practitioners to enhance teaching and research performance.

  4. Proven leadership that drives high performance and collaborative culture, including the ability to successfully mentor staff and students.

  5. Extensive success in generating significant research income and publishing in top tier journals.

  6. Demonstrated considerable leadership ability, including inspiring a high performance and collaborative culture, understanding of complex environments (greater than two years experience).
