The Project Manager, Privacy role will perform a critical role in implementing the reforms across the department.
What You Will Be Doing
Lead the development of a plan to implement the IPOLA reforms including the Privacy Policy, Privacy Management Plan, Privacy Risk Management Plan, Mandatory Notification of data Breach scheme, Data Breach Policy, Register and Response Plan across the department.Manage the development of the necessary controls to comply with the Mandatory Notification of Data Breach scheme including administration of mandatory breach reporting to inform decision-making.Provide strategic and expert advice to senior department executives on matters relating to the IPOLA reforms.Develop a clear matrix of roles and responsibilities regarding information privacy and security for the department.Prepare reports and communications to promote best practices in privacy protection and breach management.Build enduring relationships and work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to improve privacy practices across the department.Collaborate and negotiate with other teams from across the department to develop solutions that consider legislative and business impacts.Develop guidance, training and reference material to support the implementation of the IPOLA Act reforms and where possible within scope of the term of the role, assist in the delivery of that training or guidance.Please note that due to the recent Machinery of Government change, this department is now the Department of Housing and Public Works.
