Public Art Project Manager

Summary: Lead and manage public art projects for a vibrant city, ensuring artistic integrity and community engagement.

About the Role: Manage collection management projects and the design and construction of public art projects to support the City's Public Art Program.

Benefits:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare briefs for complex public art, conservation, and collection management projects.
  • Manage community and stakeholder engagement and consultation.
  • Deliver high-quality reports, correspondence, and presentations.
  • Coordinate and update public art and cultural heritage asset management data systems.
  • Manage procurement requirements and monitor supplier performance.
  • Develop and manage contracts to ensure compliance and value for money.
  • Oversee all aspects of project life cycles with appropriate governance, financial, and risk controls.
  • Update the manager on project status, key issues, and strategies.
  • Ensure safety through design and on-site within WHS and EEO policies.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or experience in Public Art, Arts Management, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Heritage, Conservation, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in collection and asset management of public art.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to resolve complex issues.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Experience in delivering projects with a budget of $200,000 or more.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in managing project risks, finances, and contract administration.
