Qualified Carpenter - Bathroom Renovations

About the Role
SilverPeak Construction is seeking skilled carpenter or handyperson experienced in major renovations and extensions to join our team. This role is crucial to our home renovation projects, allowing you to showcase your carpentry expertise and play a key role in various aspects of our work as a valued member of SilverPeak Construction.

Daily duties may include but not be limited to:

• Working across multiple projects.

• Perform carpentry tasks including framing, flooring, and finishing as required. Use carpentry skills for home renovations and repairs like bathroom and kitchen remodels, extensions, and deck installations.

• Additional skills in plastering, painting, tiling would be an advantage.

• Assist with general labour duties including demolition, site clean-up, and material handling as needed.

• Ad Hoc maintenance and repairs

• Providing excellent customer service with effective communication with clients.

• Collaborate effectively with other tradespeople and team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.

• Maintaining clean and organised work areas to promote efficiency and productivity.

• Daily Reporting and escalating issues as needed to Site Supervisor.

• Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

• Follow company processes & procedures.

Skills and Experience

• 3 years’ qualified carpentry experience in construction, home renovations and new builds.

• Ability to pick up new skills quickly and maintain accurate information.

• Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and tools.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications.

• Experience in other aspects of home renovations and repairs such as joinery installation, plastering, and general repairs is advantageous.

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.

• Strong work ethic with a commitment to delivering exceptional quality and craftsmanship.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to various project requirements.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.

• Strong reporting skills and experience with reporting software.

• Knowledge of other trades will be highly regarded

• Openness to working on a variety of projects, from large-scale renovations to smaller maintenance jobs.

Must Have

• Carpentry skills - showcase your ability to provide exceptional craftsmanship and high-quality results.

• With a diverse range of projects, you must be willing to work across projects.

• Own tools, driver's license, and reliable vehicle: Ensure you have the necessary equipment and means of transportation to carry out your duties effectively.

• General Construction Induction Card (White Card)

• Police Check or Working with Children’s
