Seeking a residential disability care worker to work at a respite farm in Lake Clifton, WA.

INKA is a 10-acre respite farm for children, teenagers, and adults with disabilities. We offer short-term care and accomodation to clients helping support them build life skills and independence.

Ideally looking for a male (clients request) candidate who would be willing to work a fortnightly roster of one of the following:

• 9 days on, 5 days off

• 7 days on, 7 days off

• 4 days on, 10 days off

• 3 days on, 11 days off

Please specify in your application which shift set you would like to work.

Open to short-term contract work of 3 to 12 months or permanent staff member.

Accommodation can be provided on-site when not working if needed.

Job roles include:

• caring for children (5 years and older), children, and adults with special needs, primarily autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability

• assisting clients with activities of daily living such as toileting and showering

• organising and conducting group activities (e.g., local outings, baking/cooking, arts and craft, feeding the animals)

• general household cleaning/tidying such as dishes, laundry, wiping down surface areas, making beds, maintaining bathrooms

• basic cooking and meal preparation

• driving clients to and from pick up locations (vehicle provided) and on community outings

• feeding and watering our animals

INKA is currently not wheelchair accessible so no hoisting/mobility transfers are required in this role.

Applicants must:

• hold a full Australian drivers license

• have their own vehicle (to get to and from work; no public transport options nearby)

• have (or be willing to obtain) a current first aid certificate, police clearance, working with children's check

• have work rights within Australia
