Restaurant Manager

Basement Brewhouse at Bankstown Sports, is the South West's premium Sports bar with an impressive selection of 30 taps, including our own selection of craft beers brewed in-house!

We are looking for a highly motivated, well-presented professional with outstanding communication skills to step into a full-time Restaurant Manager role. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at leadership, and have a passion for hospitality, this opportunity is for you!

 As Restaurant Manager, you’ll be at the heart of operations, ensuring the seamless day-to-day running of the establishment. Your responsibilities will encompass strategic planning, operational organization, and team leadership, fostering a positive work culture while delivering an exceptional dining experience.

 This role is ideal for someone eager to advance their career in hospitality, taking on key responsibilities in customer service excellence, employee training and development, performance management, sales growth, and profitability—while implementing effective cost controls

 Key responsibilities

• Setting, monitoring, and assessing standard procedures for staff performance, duties, and responsibilities

• Estimating food and beverage costs

• Overseeing restaurant revenues, ensuring that the profit margin is acceptable, and adjusting prices of services accordingly

• Coordinating with front and back of house staff across all restaurant teams in Bankstown Sports to ensure that all restaurant activities are delivered to a high standard

• Working with Marketing to develop strategies and implementing new advertising material, promotional campaigns, and planning events (e.g. happy hours, food and beverage deals, and food festivals) to increase business and boost interest in the establishment

• Promoting and selling catering services to potential and existing customers as well as coordinating the bookings for private events.

• Overseeing staff performance and completing performance management of staff

• Managing monetary responsibilities and controlling budget expenses and limits

• Coordinating and conducting supplies arrangements to establish delivery of food, beverages, and other restaurant and bar supplies.

Essential Criteria 

• Previous Restaurant Management experience

• Knowledge of Craft Beer an advantage

• Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Self-motivated, decisive, responsible, and drive to provide the best service

• Exceptional written and oral communication skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills for managing staff and customers

• RSA & RCG Qualification
