Retail Assistant - Swim Specialty Store

Swimwear Shack is a family-run swim specialty store providing high-quality swimwear, equipment, and accessories for swimmers of all levels. We pride ourselves on expert advice, friendly service, and a genuine passion for swimming.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer experiences, supporting day-to-day store operations, and helping maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner

• Provide product knowledge and fitting advice for swimwear, goggles, equipment, and accessories

• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle transactions accurately

• Assist with stock replenishment, inventory checks, and visual merchandising

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the sales floor and fitting rooms

• Process online orders and assist with packing and dispatching

• Stay up to date with product knowledge, promotions, and brand information

• Work as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service

Skills & Experience:

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred

• Knowledge or interest in swimming and swimwear is a bonus

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively

• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player

• Availability to work flexible 25+hours per week, including weekends and school holidays
