The Retail Manager at Ampol Serpentine is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the daily operations of our fuel and convenience stores. This role involves strategic planning to drive business growth, managing supplier relationships, ensuring financial accuracy, and delivering exceptional customer service. Job Responsibility:

Oversees and manages the daily operations of a retail business.

Duties:

1. Oversee daily store operations, including managing fuel inventory, stock levels, sales, and customer service to ensure efficiency.
2. Determine product mix and stock levels, ensuring the right balance of merchandise to meet customer demand.
3. Set and maintain service standards, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
4. Formulate and implement purchasing policies, ensuring cost-effective and strategic procurement.
5. Develop and execute marketing strategies, including promotional campaigns, advertisements, and special events to attract customers.
6. Set pricing strategies, balancing competitiveness and profitability while aligning with market trends.
7. Sell products and services directly to customers, providing expert advice on product use and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
8. Manage financial transactions and maintain accurate records, including stock levels, sales data, and operational expenses.
9. Plan and control store budgeting, ensuring financial objectives are met while optimizing profitability.
10. Select, train, and supervise staff, ensuring a skilled and customer-focused team.
11. Develop and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and smooth operations.
12. Monitor employee performance, conducting regular reviews and appraisals.
13. Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, maintaining a secure and well-regulated work environment.
14. Resolve customer complaints and concerns promptly, enhancing store reputation and service quality.
15. Stay informed on retail industry trends, adjusting store strategies accordingly.
16. Work with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely stock replenishment and cost-effective procurement.
17. Use office software and digital tools to streamline administrative tasks, inventory management, and communication.
18. Strengthen relationships with the local community, collaborating with schools, newspapers, and organizations.
19. Encourage ongoing staff development, supporting training initiatives and professional growth.
 

Qualification & Experience

• Relevant AQF Diploma or Higher education is required.
• Minimum 1 year or more of experience in the related field is preferred
• Proficiency in negotiation and supplier relationship management.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary:

• $75,000.00 + Super

Full Time:

• 38 hours per week
