The Opportunity:
As a
Safe Working Officer within our Heavy Plant team (travel crew 8:6), you’ll be responsible for implementing safe work practices during rail resurfacing and minor construction operations. This role is crucial in supporting ARTC’s network-wide infrastructure maintenance programs — both reactive and preventative — across NSW, QLD, VIC, SA and WA.
This is a field-based position within a migratory team, involving frequent travel and shift work. Living in Goulburn is not required, but candidates must be based within a 4-hour driving distance.

We’re focused on shaping the future of transport in Australia. With the expansion and modernisation of our resurfacing fleet, ARTC is investing heavily in cutting-edge heavy rail plant — including tampers, regulators, and rail rakes — to strengthen safety, performance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate safe track access and liaise with stakeholders to plan plant movements.
