You will be reporting directly to the PieLAB Financial Controller, you will work closely with the finance team to ensure financial accuracy and provide valuable insights. This role requires a proactive accountant with a focus on identifying opportunities for improvement and solving financial problems.
Job Responsibilities
Accounting – end to end finance function for portfolio companies, including but not limited to reporting, tax, AP/AR, payroll, job costing, treasury management.Reconciliations – Balance Sheet reconciliations, reconciliations to internal systems.Tax compliance – responsible for preparing portfolio tax obligations (GST, PAYG, payroll tax).Monthly reporting – prepare monthly internal reporting, quarterly investor reporting and annual statutory reporting obligations for the portfolio companies.Stakeholder Management – Establish and manage stakeholder relationships across different functions of the portfolio companies to ensure business needs’ are being met.
Requirements
5+ years’ accounting experience5+ years’ Australian business experienceStrong Excel abilitiesStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsExperience accounting for SMEsBachelors degree in Commerce or Business (Accounting)Excellent attention to detailExperience with MYOB/Xero
A combination of some of the following technical skills and experience:
CA/CPA qualifications or working towards Operational accounting experienceAdept at process improvement, including implementation and system improvement
