Senior Civil/Structural Engineer

Join one of Australia's premier mining operations as a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in driving technical excellence and continuous improvement across our structural integrity program.

About the Role: 

As the Senior Civil/Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the structural integrity program and providing expert civil and structural engineering support throughout the operation. Your role will ensure the safety, compliance, and operational efficiency of a diverse range of assets, including steelwork, mechanical support structures, concrete structures, roads, drainage systems, tailings dams, and more.
This is a FIFO role to site on 4/3 from Cairns/Darwin or 8/6 from Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical governance and assurance for civil/structural engineering across site assets.
• Supervise third-party engineering deliverables and conduct technical reviews.
• Support project planning and change management from a structural engineering perspective.
• Coordinate structural inspections, manage defect registers, and implement corrective action programs.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure adherence to engineering best practices and compliance standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent certification.
• At least 5 years of experience as Civil/Structural Engineer in an operational asset environment.
• Proficiency in Australian Standards and structural engineering best practices.
• Structural inspection programs, brownfield projects, and working in remote environments.
