Your impact Jacobs is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our Program and Project Delivery Solutions Team. In this key role, you'll provide strategic estimating leadership across our portfolio of rail and road transport projects throughout Australia. As our Senior Estimator, you'll be the financial foundation of our project planning and execution processes, working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver accurate cost assessments and ensure efficient resource allocation. You'll have the freedom to work across multiple Australian projects and sectors, broadening your experience and impact while delivering estimating excellence. Key Duties will include Lead the development of comprehensive cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, and resources for transport infrastructure projectsCreate detailed project budgets aligned with scope requirements and client expectationsBe involved in competitive tender submissions and bids that position Jacobs for successConduct financial feasibility assessments and provide strategic advice to stakeholders and clientsIdentify and mitigate potential financial risks through proactive planningForecast and assess costs, timelines, quality parameters, and constructability factorsDevelop detailed bills of quantities with precision and technical accuracyManage variations and cost proposals with exceptional attention to detailCreate forecast cash flows and deliver procurement guidance to clientsParticipate in value management and risk workshops as a subject matter expert We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery. Here's what you'll need Substantial estimating experience, with specific expertise in rail and road infrastructure projectsStrong civil backgroundPrevious consultancy experience working directly with clientsDemonstrated ability to work autonomously while maintaining high standardsExpert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Primavera P6 is preferredMeticulous attention to detail with a solid understanding of engineering principlesConfident approach to questioning assumptions and challenging conventional thinkingRPEQ and AISQ certifications highly regarded but not mandatory Jacobs.
