Senior Legal Counsel

Our client, a highly successful ASX listed corporation with a long track record is seeking an engaging Lawyer to join the in-house legal team. This role will involve leading and managing the provision of legal services to one of the business units. The position is based at Head office in Melbourne and reports to the Head of Legal and offers plenty of senior engagement.

Working directly with the business, you will provide predominately commercial,  advice on key operational objectives and enterprise projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Negotiating, preparing, and reviewing a wide range of commercial contracts and documents from supply agreements to bespoke contracts and infrastructure contracts
• Providing strategic legal advice to management
• Ensuring compliance requirements are being met
• Undertaking general commercial transactional work impacting the business

 This role would suit a pragmatic commercial lawyer with a minimum of 7 years’ PQE from a well-regarded law firm or already be working in-house.
