Your impact & contribution

As the Senior Manager for Tech Strategy Acceleration, you will help drive the implementation of our Technology Strategy by leveraging global perspectives, providing timely & actionable insights, and engaging with key stakeholders. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our team stays ahead of emerging trends and integrates best practices from around the world into our strategic initiatives.

You will create an environment of curiosity and excellence, where exploring new ideas and maintaining high standards are routine. You will ensure our team learns from international best practices and continually develops their skills. Additionally, you will help our leaders anticipate market changes and expand our internal and external networks.

Your responsibilities

  • Global and Local Trend Monitoring: Continuously monitor and analyse global and local trends to inform and shape our technology strategy. This includes organising study trips, immersion sessions with external subject matter experts, and conducting regular news scans.
  • Internal and External Stakeholder Engagement: Strengthen relationships with vendors, partners, and consulting peers. Facilitate collaboration and knowledge-sharing to enhance our strategic initiatives and leverage external expertise.
  • Research and Benchmarking: Conduct thorough market scans, research projects, and benchmarking exercises. Provide data-driven insights to support informed decision-making and strategy development.
  • Training and Capability Upliftment: Lead capability building within the team and ensure continuous learning and development within the team.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Support the rest of the Technology Strategy team in developing, shaping and socialising Technology's strategic narrative for the group.
  • Support other Tech Strategy teams: The team is highly flexible; members may need to take on stretch opportunities such as Technology Strategy creation, socialisation, orchestration and other roles as needed.

Your skills and experience

You are a knowledge management expert with a deep understanding of technology strategy and global trends. Your skills include:

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to synthesise complex information and identify key insights to inform strategy.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
  • Technical Knowledge: Good technical background, able to understand basic technology concepts, learn quickly and become conversant and write up technology news and market scans.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
