The Team:

The Occupational Therapy Service includes over 90 team members consisting of occupational therapists and assistants, play specialists, diversional therapists, carpenter, and administration officers. We work across acute, sub-acute and community settings, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, the largest teaching Hospital in Tasmania.

The Role:

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will demonstrate advanced clinical and professional skills, working autonomously to deliver high-quality, patient-centred services to a designated caseload. Your responsibilities will include supervising and teaching rotating junior Occupational Therapists and Allied Health Assistants as well as collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams to achieve patient and service outcomes. You will be supported by Clinical Leads with regular opportunities for professional development.

Current vacancies include:

• Senior OT within the Medical and Cancer Services Stream: Focus on chronic disease management, in particular Oncology and Medical Specialties caseloads. 
• Senior OT within the Surgical and Perioperative Services Stream: Focus on Amputees, Burns and Plastics with opportunities across Trauma, ICU and Neurosurgery.

Details of appointment: Allied Health Professional, Level 3

Multiple Permanent full time, day worker positions, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022.

Salary Packaging:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

• Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
