Winthrop Australia, a leading National Managed Service Provider and Systems Integrator, offers a broad range of services to clients from small and medium-sized businesses to large enterprises with thousands of seats. We are expanding and looking for a dedicated Support Consultant to enhance our robust support team.

Role Overview: As a Support Consultant, you will play a crucial role in the seamless daily operations of our clients. Reporting directly to the Service Delivery Managers, you will ensure that all IT incidents, problems, and service requests are addressed promptly and professionally, delivering exceptional customer service to our MSA clients.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the Ticket Logging System on a daily basis
  • Deliver technical support primarily remotely, with occasional on-site visits, for all IT services provided to clients
  • Maintain and support client infrastructure both on-premises and in the cloud
  • Conduct proactive maintenance of server infrastructure and systems
  • Ensure exceptional customer service
  • Manage your time efficiently
  • Work independently without supervision
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven IT Support Consultant with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role (MSP experience preferred)
  • Exceptional client-facing and team communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in managing and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 solutions
  • Experience with standard server environments (2019/2022/2025)
  • Expertise in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting:
  • LAN/WAN/WLAN, including firewalls, switches, routers, and modems
  • Common antivirus applications
  • Backup and disaster recovery technologies
  • Highly regarded experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Familiarity with ConnectWise is a plus
  • Passionate about IT, always eager to learn and adopt the latest technologies
  • Flexible with working hours, including after-hours and weekends if needed
  • Must have the right to work in Australia as a Citizen or under a Permanent Work Visa
  • Must hold a current Australian driver's license and have a reliable vehicle for travel
  • Willing to obtain a Police clearance
  • Willing to obtain a Working with Children clearance if required
