LCI Melbourne (LCIM) is a bespoke, progressive art and design institute. LCI was established in 1959 in Montreal, Canada as LaSalle College International and has become a global network of design institutes with 23 campuses across the globe. LCIM offers a multidisciplinary Bachelor of Design Arts (BDA), and a suite of Higher Education Diplomas providing students with design thinking skills that can be applied across all creative industries. About You
Successful applicants will possess proven educational, research and professional experience, demonstrate an understanding of contemporary global trends in your discipline field of expertise, and have an ability to embed innovate approaches to teaching, learning and professional practice.
To be successful, you will have:
- For teaching in a Bachelor degree course, you will have a Master degree, or equivalent professional experience;
- Understanding of relevant field of study knowledge and skills demonstrated by academic achievement and/or professional experience;
- Previous relevant tutoring experience is highly desirable and commitment to providing timely and constructive feedback on academic progression and assessments, meeting the holistic needs of a diverse range of students;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others;
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with students and staff;
As a sessional academic, you will make an important contribution to the discipline(s) and unit(s) for which you are engaged. You may be asked to prepare and conduct lecturers, tutorials, consult with students, undertake marking of assessment, and attend meetings as required by the Dean, Academic Operations Manager, Faculty Head or Unit Coordinator. This is a casual employment position that requires duties to be performed on campus.
