Sheet Metal Worker - Light Gauge Boilermaker (Tig fabrication)

About the role

Tetris Group are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker (Tig fabrication) to join our team in Redland Bay, QLD. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of light gauge metal components using advanced TIG welding techniques.

What you'll be doing

• Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, plans and specifications

• Expertly operate TIG welding equipment to fabricate high-quality light gauge metal components

• Carry out metal cutting, bending, folding and other shaping processes to prepare components for assembly

• Assemble fabricated components into completed products

• Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good working order

• Liaise with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues

• Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification in Light Gauge Boilermaking or Sheet Metal Fabrication

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar TIG welding and light gauge fabrication role

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans and specifications

• Proven proficiency in the use of TIG welding equipment and various metal forming tools

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
