Shipping Clerk

Thomas Borthwick & Sons (Australia) Pty Ltd forms part of NH Foods group of companies. Located at Bakers Creek, we solely processes beef cattle , with a workforce between 400 to 550 employees. 

We are currently seeking the services of an experienced shipping clerk to work with our Sales and Livestock teams.

Ideally, the successful applicant will have experience in a similar role. Key duties and responsibilities are;

• Prepare invoices and required documentation for shipments

• Monitor and manage packaging, labelling, weights and measures and shipping charges

• Verify incoming orders are complete to customer satisfaction

• Attention to detail in cross referencing inventory controls and tracking of shipments

• Negotiate with transport contractor for timely and efficient delivery of consignments

• Resolving any potential or actual service issues

• Providing accurate shipment status to stakeholders

• Control of Palletising inward and outward.

Key skills and abilities

• Highly developed written and oral communication with the ability to confidently bring about change through negotiation

• Excellent attention to detail

• Highly developed organisational skills encompassing time management, negotiation, consultation and risk management

• Highly developed planning skills to deliver a quality service in a timely manner

• Well-developed computer skills across the entire Microsoft Office Suite, Promptu (or similar)
