ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Site Construction Manager (Electrical Substation), you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the delivery of field-based activities to ensure project completion on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. You will work closely with the project team to manage resources and execute field-based operations effectively. Construction management experience in the utilities infrastructure sector, particularly in power-related projects, is highly desirable.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee field activities, ensuring timely execution and adherence to cost, quality, and safety standards.
  • Mitigate HSE and enterprise risks through proactive risk workshops and assessments.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using MS Project, optimizing resource allocation for materials and labor.
  • Forecast and report monthly project costs, ensuring strict cost control using tools like SAP and Excel.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder communications, including status updates, board papers, and executive-level reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ regulations by enforcing the HSEQ Management Plan and Risk Management Plans.
MORE ABOUT YOU
  • Experience in industrial electrical infrastructure construction is essential.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading and motivating field teams to meet project milestones.
  • Strong track record of achieving results through influencing and relationship management.
  • Hands-on experience in design & construction project delivery.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate teams, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets, control costs, and deliver financial outcomes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project and SAP is highly regarded.
