Skip Truck Driver

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable skip bin truck driver to join our small team in Canberra. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our waste management operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of skip bins to and from various locations.

No weekends or overtime required!

Responsibilities:

1. Safely operate and maneuver skip bin trucks to pick up and deliver bins according to the assigned schedule.
2. Assist in the loading and unloading of skip bins, ensuring proper placement and securing of the load.
3. Communicate effectively with management and customers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns.
4. Complete required paperwork, such as delivery and pickup records, accurately and in a timely manner.
5. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the skip bin truck, both inside the cabin and in the cargo area.

Qualifications:

1. Valid and current Australian Medium Rigid (MR) or Australian Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's license.
2. Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role.
3. Excellent driving record with a strong focus on safety.
4. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
5. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
6. Knowledge of Canberra and surrounding areas is an advantage.
7. Basic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshooting is a plus.
