The opportunity

Energy & Utilities have an opportunity available for an experienced Supervisor to join the Telecommunications & Metering team supporting the On Demand Module (ODM) contract in the Northern Territory.

You will be locally based in the NT with the opportunity for WFH and flexible working arrangements. Please note this role has a field component and requires travel to multiple site locations, therefore a Tool of Trade Vehicle will be provided.

What you'll do

  • Own the operational and administrative supervision of our contractors, site works and public interface.
  • Ensure compliance to the contract in line with the Downer Standard.
  • Lead, support and implement Downers Zero Harm strategy and processes across the entire contract.

What we offer

  • Total Remuneration Package + Tool of Trade Vehicle.
  • Flexible working and WFH options.
  • A supportive leadership team that believes in our people and recognise their achievements.
  • Energy & Utilities have a dedicated internal mobility team focused on internal progression and succession identification and thorough redeployment opportunities where appropriate. We invest in our people and are industry leading in this regard.
  • We are a Tier 1 ASX listed company with in-house capabilities that far exceed traditional contractor environments.

What we're looking for

We are seeking an individual with a can-do approach and willingness to learn. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar supervision role within the telecommunications or utilities industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a high-pressure work environment with constantly changing and competing priorities within tight deadlines.
  • Proven experience collaborating with landowners and managing access to highly sensitive locations.
  • A knowledge of technology and practices, including those of major customers.
  • A sound understanding of productivity requirements for network construction.
  • Experience providing on-site liaison with the public, local and regulatory authority, utilities and other third-party stakeholders.
