McCallums Hill Public School is located in South Western Sydney and currently has an enrolment of approximately 323 students. The school currently has 7 support classes and it caters for a diverse student population with 87% of students from a language background other than English. The school is committed to respecting, promoting and valuing the strength, diversity and richness of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. Our students come from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds. The school culture is that of connectedness, inclusion and belonging with students, staff, parents and the wider community working together to promote school excellence. Our school works collaboratively within a Community of Schools network. The school is supported by a strong and vibrant multi-cultural community, and our Greek and Arabic Community Language programs support students in maintaining and developing further communicative competence in their community language. Opportunities for students are available in many areas including sport, science, technology, and creative and performing arts which enable our students to excel through a range of different experiences.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
Applicants seeking either permanent full time or permanent part time employment are encouraged to apply for this position. If the recommended applicant is seeking permanent part time employment (FTE from 0.1 to 0.9 inclusive), they will be offered an appointment at their desired FTE.
