About the role

This is a unique opportunity to join a committed frontline team and make a positive contribution to the West Australian justice system.

The Sheriff’s Office has a specialised Criminal Enforcement team that targets offenders who have outstanding fines and infringements. The team performs enforcement activities including wheel clamping, number plate removal and the seizure and sale of goods to recover outstanding debts.

The Team Leader – Operations, provides effective leadership to this Criminal Enforcement team, ensuring delivery of a high level service. This includes adequate risk management measures are in place, pro-actively seeking new ways to continually improve the Criminal Enforcement service, co-ordinating human resources and tasks and assisting other teams as required. Some field duties may also be required.

Eligibility

Special Conditions - 

  • The position holder must hold a current and valid ‘C’ or ‘C-A’ class drivers’ licence or equivalent.
  • The position holder may be required to travel within Western Australia for operational purposes.

Permanent positions – To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
