- Salary being offered is $70,000 to $90,000 per annum
Tasks & responsibilities
- Design and implement telecommunications systems
- Plan, design and commission telecommunications infrastructure to connect Goldstar operations across WA (head office and 8× other offices ).
- Plan, design and implement an internal network system (data & communication) with fail overs and redundancy to achieve 99.95% uptime.
- Develop a dedicated external network system using VPN to securely connect sites across different geographical locations.
- Retire the existing PSTN voice system and deploy a modern VoIP (Voice over IP) system.
- Retire the legacy Active Directory (AD) security domain and plan, design and implement a new AD domain with Azure AD cloud integration.
- Enhance Goldstar’s cybersecurity posture by deploying new network and data security protocols.
- In collaboration with executive management and T&I colleagues, achieve ISO 27001 certification (or equivalency) by 2027.
- Ensure uninterrupted communications with trucks in remote locations via satellite.
- Deploy fleet-mounted operational technology including tracking and communications hardware. Research innovative new technologies as they become available for this requirement.
- Maintenance and management:
- Negotiate and approve SLAs with ISPs and other related vendors.
- Ensure the uptime of all communication systems, including both data and voice.
- Develop and enforce suitable preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
- Perform the maintenance according to the developed schedules.
- Document all processes, procedures, systems and assets.
- Both formal and informal Knowledge Transfers (KT) to train and upskill T&I colleagues.
Qualifications & experience
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems
- Proficiency in network protocols and technologies
