The Opportunity PDA provides a comprehensive Planning consultancy service for a wide range of projects throughout Tasmania. This opportunity is for an enthusiastic and experienced Planner to join our team with a focus on providing an exceptional standard of service, producing high-quality outputs and fostering strong client relationships.We offer a friendly and professional working environment, variety of work and work/life balance. The positions responsibilities are including but not limited to are:Conduct planning services of various types under the direction of a Director or Project ManagerManage planning applications, typically including liaising with consultants and developers to ensure that development application tasks are completed in an efficient mannerAssess urban design issues and options in relation to applications and strategic plans and provide adviceDesigning and drafting proposal plans to support development applicationsPlanning compliance report writing Preparing of assessment reports and application documents for lodgementPreparation of Statement of Facts and Contentions in relation to appeals and potentially representation as an expert witnessOther duties and tasks as delegated by Planning Managers and/or Directors Essential CriteriaRelevant tertiary qualifications in Planning (preferably in Australia);Experience in urban and regional planning;Strong Communication and presentation skills;Ability to think creatively, critically and strategically;Excellent time management skills;Are able to work effectively independently, and as part of a team;Eligibility or holds full membership with the Planning Institute of AustraliaHas demonstrated relationship building skills, including the ability to relate well to and build rapport with clients, government contacts and team members; LocationNegotiable in Tasmania Why join PDA?PDA Surveyors, Engineers & Planners is proud to be a Tasmanian owned and operated business.
