Trades Assistant - Workshop - Mackay

We seek a reliable and motivated trade assistant to join our client’s workshop in Mackay. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with or without experience, as our client is willing to train the right candidate. After 6-12 months, there is potential for an apprenticeship in Mechanical Fitting!

Key Details:

• Hours:

  • 38-hour week
  • Monday to Thursday: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Friday: 6:30 AM – 10:30 AM (early finish)

• Pay:

  • $35/h + penalties

• Location:

  • Mackay

Role Requirements:

• Experience:

  • Assembly experience and familiarity with hand and power tools are highly desirable.

• Skills & Attributes:

  • Must be reliable and physically fit.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Ability to read diagrams and blueprints.
  • Conscientious and safety-focused.
  • Potential for an apprenticeship in Mechanical Fitting after 6-12 months.

• Licences:

  • A forklift Licence is preferred but not essential.
  • Current driver’s licence and own transport.

• Eligibility:

  • Must have full working rights in Australia.
